I have always been a people person. I find learning about each individual and couple fascinating. Everybody has lead an interesting life to me, and each couple has intriguing stories to tell. I enjoy hearing about you and your loved one, or at least the parts you wish to share with me.
I have been married for over 35 years and have two sons and a wonderful young grandson. Family is everything to me. The commitment I made and my dedication to my family is as important to me as I am sure it is for you. So, whether you are welcoming a new little person into your family, making a commitment to your partner, reaffirming your vows or saying the final goodbye to your loved one, from my own experience I know how important this event is to you.
I lost my own Father, who was a funeral director, at quite a young age. At that time, it was not usual for children to attend funerals and, although I understood the reasons for not allowing me to go, I knew this was not right for me. Even at an early age, I realised the need for us all to have the opportunity say goodbye in a fitting way.
On a brighter note, last year I was delighted to gain two new adopted nephews, they were brothers much in need of a loving home. I admire their new parents for being able to make this commitment; having raised their own children to adulthood they took the brave step of adopting a baby and a toddler. When the final legalities were completed there was much for the whole family to celebrate.
It would therefore be my pleasure to help make your happy events even more special, or to bring comfort on those sadder occasions.
